TT Technologies has introduced the most efficient way to remove and replace plastic and copper services—the Mini Grundotugger. The hydraulically powered Mini Grundotugger is a safe and simple way for contractors to split and replace house connections with diameters from 1/2 to 2 inches and up to 100 feet in length with minimal disruption. The Mini Grundotugger can be operated by a one or two person crew and, depending on soil conditions, pulling times can average up to 15 feet per minute! The Mini Grundotugger quickly and efficiently replaces copper and plastic services. The unit’s conical cutting blade expander either extracts or splits the existing service while the new service is pulled in simultaneously. |

Lead or Galvanized Steel pipe is pushed out while the new line is pulled in. For lead pipes, a mesh type pulling grip is used to pull on the lead line and steel cable at the same time. |

Copper or Plastic pipe is split into fragments and embedded into surrounding soil to make room for the new pipe. |

The 2 1/2-inch diameter Grundocrack Jr. is effective for small diameter service line replacement. Cable can be pulled by winch, truck hitch, backhoe or other suitable pulling equipment. |
